Intense Interdisciplinary Climate Knowledge Workshop

Dear students,
Do you already know everything about climate change and sustainability? You can’t learn anything new about it anyway after talking about it over and over again at school and maybe even at university? But maybe you have topics in the back of your mind that concern you? E.g.: How will climate change affect our bodies? How are refugee movements influenced by it? Do these people actually have certain rights as a result of this reason for fleeing, or are they perhaps not covered at all? How will our food choices change? Why did we actually learn about the ecological footprint in school, which comes from a PR campaign by an oil and gas company?

With the Intense Interdisciplinary Climate Knowledge Workshop, we would like to give you the opportunity to raise questions and topics like these, have them answered by experts and discuss them with each other! Your course of study doesn’t matter. Anyone who is interested should feel addressed, because the diversity of our subject areas will make this workshop so enriching! So come to our first meeting on Monday, December 11th, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. at JLU (room TBA). At this appointment we will collect our topics and discuss them. To our second meeting on Monday, January 22nd, 2024, we will work on these together with researchers and lecturers from JLU. Anyone who takes part in both meetings will even receive a fancy certificate! Registrations and queries should be sent to: hannah-lea.schulz@sowi.uni-giessen.de

We look forward to seeing you!
